Browning Service

By Chuck Shannon

It’s ironic that your e-mail arrived the day that I’ve received my Browning Gold 10 gauge back from a factory repair. I had, through an odd circumstance, had to take an unexpected salt water swim; shotgun in hand. Despite my best effots in the field to clear the mechanism, it was apparent that something was amiss. Our local factory-authorized repair center could not locate the problem and the shotgun was shipped to Browning for their evaluation. I’ve now received the shotgun back, ostensibly in perfect working order, with a note of “no charge”. I would not expect the warranty to cover a salt water bath, but Browning apparently feels differently. I regard this as exlempary performance and feel that it warrants your notice.
