Book Description 27st Edition Blue Book of Gun Values by S.P. Fjestad is a softcover firearms pricing book published annually. The Blue Book is the "bible" for those who deal in used firearms. Whether buying or selling, this is the place to start when setting a price to buy, sell, or bargain with respect to a particular gun. It is comprehensive and user friendly for those who do not engage in this area very often, but it can be well worth the price in terms of over- or underpricing of firearms for sell or purchase. As an added bonus, this edition honors a true American hero on the cover and inside with an interview of Joe Foss, WWII ace and Medal of Honor recipient. I highly recommend it to all dealers, collectors, and other interested persons! |

Mainly for Colt .45 collectors and .45 ACP Enthusiasts The author spends most of the book describing the history of the Colt .45 and the various forms of the model 1911. There is a short, useful section, on .45 ammunition and a section on .45 revolvers. The author is obviously a Colt .45 fan and writes this book for others with the same interest. |

A Very Informative Work Written as a companion piece to Arts and Enertainments special The Story Of The Gun this book is very well written, researched and even witty in places. My only complaint is Mr. Hogg gives very detailed descriptions of how many of the weapons work and in the case of machine guns etc some diagrams would have been very helpful. Other then that its an excellent addition to any gun buff's library. |
